How often do you need a microneedling treatment?
Many of our patients rely on regular microneedling treatment to keep the facial skin looking refreshed and rejuvenated. If you want to restore collagen and create firmer skin, three treatments can produce noticeable improvements. If you have acne scars, you may need more procedures to achieve a smoother look. The first step is to meet with us so we can evaluate your skin and advise you of what to expect. Your series of treatments should be performed at four to six-week intervals to allow your skin to regenerate between treatments.
What will my skin look like after microneedling?
After your treatment, we will apply a soothing serum, but you may have a slightly reddened look or pinpoint bleeding. Any side effects disappear quickly. Some people have mild swelling. To ensure your skin recovers quickly, stay out of direct sun, and ensure you do not rub or scratch your face as it heals.
Can I put on makeup after microneedling?
You need to wait several days before you can apply makeup. The idea is to keep your skin clear of any substance that could inflame or irritate your skin. We can guide you to the products that will speed healing.
